Big Apple Blog Festival

The Big Apple Blog Festival is another way to spread the word about the excellent blogs about NYC and blogs based in NYC. Entries focus on blog posts by bloggers in and near NYC and those blogs that regularly post about NYC. Most entries are about NYC "stuff" like living, playing, working, eating, and of course, commuting, to and in NYC (otherwise known as the "Big Apple" - see below).
The Big Apple Blog Festival is similar to the Carnival of New Jersey Bloggers.

General Info
Inspired by the Carnival of the Vanities, a New York City blogger hosts a Big Apple Blog Festival, offering a sample of the topics New York City bloggers have been writing about. Originally, the BABF was weekly, but it now appears irregularly...The goal is to get readers to read the selected posts and to explore each NYC blogger's site. We are especially interested in NYC food and event blogs.
The Big Apple Blog Festival can also be found at The Truth Laid Bear's ÜberCarnival.
How To Submit A Post For A BABF
To submit a post for an upcoming BABF, use the Carnival Submit FormHow To Host A BABF
New York hosts many different festivals, and the BABF likes to travel from blog to blog.If you have a New York City-focused blog and you would like to host an upcoming BABF, send us an email with the dates you are available to participate. We'll confirm the date with you, and then you host that BABF on your blog, and we (and other NYC blogs) provide a link to it and help alert others to it. (To host, your blog must have an RSS or similar feed - most blog software automatically sets up an RSS or RSS-like feed.)
To put together a BABF, you round up interesting posts about living, working, commuting, and eating in NYC from text and photo blogs, put them into one post (that includes a BABF logo and link back to this page), and post it on the date that you agreed to host. We have a one page document with the code we ask you to place into your BABF here (.rtf format, which should open in your word processing software). The list of blogs we look at when we host a BABF includes those on this page, but you can use your own list. You provide a link back to the BABF page and let us know when it's posted, then we put a link to your BABF on this page and notify other bloggers. To see sample BABFs, see the list above.
Paraphrasing hraka: Of course, the success of the BABF assumes someone reads this....
You are free to repost the Big Apple Blog Festival so long as you leave this URL attached: BigAppleBlogFestival.com
